How do I get my resume score?
Upload your resume at betterskilled.com/upload. Our AI analyzes it in minutes and returns your full report including ATS score, skill gaps, and career recommendations.
What file formats are supported?
We accept PDF and DOCX files. DOCX provides the most accurate parsing. Make sure your PDF is text-based (not a scanned image).
Do I need to create an account?
You can get a report without creating an account. Creating an account lets you save your reports and track your progress over time.
Your resume report
What does my ATS score mean?
Your ATS score (0–100) reflects how well your resume would perform in an Applicant Tracking System. A score above 80 is competitive. Below 60 means significant improvements are needed.
How accurate is the analysis?
Our analysis is based on patterns from thousands of successful resumes and real ATS systems. It's highly accurate for common roles and industries. For very niche fields, treat it as a strong guideline.
Can I download my optimized resume?
Yes. After your analysis, you can download your AI-optimized resume as a DOCX file ready to customize and submit.
How do I get the best results?
Upload your most current resume and include a target job description when prompted. The more specific you are about your target role, the more accurate the keyword matching.
Privacy & data
Is my resume data secure?
Yes. Personal and contact information is redacted before analysis. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
How long do you keep my data?
We retain your data for as long as you have an account. You can delete your data at any time from your account settings.
Can employers see my resume?
No. Your resume is never shared with employers or recruiters. BetterSkilled is a tool for you — we don't operate as a recruitment marketplace.
Billing
Is BetterSkilled free?
Your first full career report is free. Premium features including unlimited reports and advanced coaching tools are available on a subscription basis.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
